Coronation Street bosses have awarded on-screen couple Ken and Deirdre Barlow their very own spinoff show.

The webisodes will show the couple chatting in bed, before they turn the lights off and go to sleep each evening.

A statement on Corrie’s website announced: “With spilt tea on the sheets, flickering street lights from the cobbles and snoring habits high on the agenda, the night-time natter provides one last chance before the day ends for the bickering Barlows to discuss their differing approaches to life and living.”

The series will be titled titled Ken and Deirdre’s Bedtime Stories and consist of ten three-minute episodes. They will launch on ITV.com on February 14 and run for ten weeks.
