Season nine Big Brother winner Adam Jasinski was sentenced to four years in prison yesterday after pleading guilty to charges of drug trafficking and tax evasion. Keep reading for more details on his case…

Jasinski found out the hard way that Big Brother is always watching. According to the Associated Press, The “Big Brother” winner was sentenced to four years in prison Friday after facing up to 15 years for drug trafficking and tax evasion.

“I’m sick. I won $500,000 and I blew it all. I apologize. I’m a mess…Give me a chance to get out and find out who I really am,” he told the court.

The AP reports Jasinski was arrested in October of 2009 on charges of using his $500,000 “Big Brother” prize to buy and sell the prescription drug oxycodone.

U.S. District Court Judge William Young told the reality star, “You were drug trafficking, and you were drug trafficking until they caught you. You got to a position where you thought that the rules didn’t apply to you.”

Jasinski’s lawyer aimed for a sentence of around 10 months, the amount of time the “Big Brother” contestant had already served in jail since his arrest, which the judge didn’t grant, according to the AP.

Jasinski’s trip to rehab in 2009 for bipolar disorder and drug addiction treatment did get him a much shorter sentence than the maximum amount of time he faced.

AP reports the judge “told Jasinski he had shown progress in seeking treatment for his drug addiction and his mental illness” and gave him four years in federal prison.

Jasinski’s “Big Brother” castmate, Matt McDonald, is also charged of helping distribute Jasinski’s oxycodone. He is still in jail awaiting sentencing.
