Worst Cooks In America on Food Network has returned for it’s second season and if you aren’t too familiar with Anne Burrell’s rival chef on the show, he is known as Robert Irvine, and is also a popular Food Network chef and host. Keep reading to learn more about Robert!


Food Network’s Robert Irvine has joined Anne Burrell this season on Worst Cooks In America. For those of you who are not familiar with Robert Irvine, he also hosts “Dinner Impossible” on Food Network in which Robert has to serve large and small crowds stunning meals on a moment’s notice. Robert joined the British Navy at age 15 where his cooking skills were quickly noticed and he was selected to work on board the Royal Yacht Britannia, where the Royal Family dined. During his time spent training U.S. Navy chefs as part of a guest chef program, Robert worked in the White House kitchens, and his creations were served to government officials regularly.

In a recent interview, Robert Irvine says that his favorite people to cook for are the service men and women because it makes him proud. Robert, who has 25 years of culinary skills under his belt, also has another upcoming show on Food Network called “Restaurant Impossible” in which he must attempt to save a failing restaurant with only ten thousand dollars and two days worth of time. Robert has also published two books - Mission: Cook! which was published in September 2007, and his latest cookbook, Impossible to Easy which was released last year.
