Lookout Jason Mesnick! Melissa Rycroft Strickland, who was once famously dumped by The Bachelor after being chosen as his one and only, is set to write a tell-all book in the coming year. Read on for all the details…

Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books issued a press release earlier this month stating their intention to publish the memoirs of Melissa Rycroft Strickland, who was chosen by Jason Mesnick on Season 13 of ABC’s The Bachelor to be his wife, only to find out that he had changed his mind after the fact!

Melissa Rycroft got her start in reality television on CMT’s Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team before winding up as a contestant on Season 13 of The Bachelor and falling for Jason. But Melissa didn’t falter long - she went on to become a hopeful on Season 8 of Dancing With the Stars, where she made it to the final three with partner Tony Dovolani.  After, she tried out for the position of co-host on the show, but was beat out by Brooke Burke.

Of course, Melissa went on to co-host The Bachelor Pad with Chris Harrison, at which time it was also revealed that she was expecting a child with new hubby Tye Strickland.

Currently, Melissa is awaiting the birth of her first child in February of 2011, and presumably, penning her tell-all  with lots of scoop from behind-the-scenes of reality television - should be good! Simon & Schuster is touting the memoir as her “incredible Cinderella story of heartbreak and happiness.” The book should be ready to hit shelves in August of 2011, and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
