Okay, so the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore may not be THE Most Fascinating People, but they’ve definitely got to be up there on a list of celebrities getting arrested. This week, Jersey Shore cast member Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was indicted on assault charges that stemmed from an episode of the show where he was seen knocking a man unconscious. Read on for more details.

Remember the episode in season 1 of Jersey Shore, when Snooki was making out with some other girl’s boyfriend at a nightclub? (We know–which time?) The guy’s girlfriend was with a group of people that included Stephen Izzo (the one that Ronnie punched), and outside the club, everyone started talking trash to one another, which led to Ronnie and Stephen’s altercation.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro punched Stephen Izzo so hard that he lost consciousness, and as a result, Ronnie spent the evening in jail.

But his initial jail time wasn’t the end of this “situation” for Ronnie. This week, the grand jury charged the 25-year-old with one count of third-degree assault for the 2009 incident, and if convicted, he faces up to five years in state prison.

We’re no legal analysts, but we’re pretty sure that the fact that the whole incident was caught on tape, and that after hitting Izzo, Ronnie went running around yelling, “One shot!” doesn’t exactly help his case.

Stephen Izzo is also trying to get compensated for his pain (read: total embarrassment) by suing Ronnie, MTV, Jersey Shore producers, AND the nightclub for their part in the assault.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s pre-arraignment conference is scheduled for January 4, 2011.

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella.
