The feud between Camille Richards and Kyle Grammer made for some pretty good TV, but according to the producers of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we almost missed it! Get the inside scoop on what really happened behind-the-scenes that night in NYC, and find out why we’ll never know who’s right and who’s wrong in the battle between ladies of the 90210.

In the last episodes of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Camille Grammer and Kyle Richards had a heated argument over a conversation that occurred between the two of them in Las Vegas. Camille says that Kyle asked why anyone would want anything to do with her without her husband, Kelsey around. Kyle denies ever saying anything even remotely close to that.

So the obvious answer would be to just show the clip of the conversation so we– er, the ladies can get to the bottom of things, right?

Or are the producers intentionally leaving that scene out of the show in order to cause more drama, and as a result, reel in more viewers?

Well, according to the producers of the show, there is no clip of the conversation in question! Due to budgeting and time constraints (no reality show shoots 24/7), the producers decided not to film on the day that the ladies were traveling from Las Vegas back to Los Angeles, and that’s when the whole conversation took place. And despite their being an entire production crew traveling with the ladies, the only three people around were Kyle, Camille, and Kim Richards. Sigh… Guess this will go down as one of the great mysteries in reality TV history.

But the mere idea of the conversation and the drama that’s ensued since has been pure ratings gold for producers of the show. Especially the night that the ladies confronted one another in that noisy, dimly lit restaurant.

What we didn’t know is that the restaurant scene almost didn’t happen! According to producers, after Camille and Kyle made up in the hotel room, they decided that it would be nice for everyone to sit and have a bite to eat.

While the ladies “freshened up” in their rooms, the production crew scrambled to find a restaurant that would be gracious enough to stay open and let the cameras shoot the women having dinner.

But the Housewives arrived, already fired up, so the cameras started rolling immediately–before the crew had finished lighting the restaurant–which explains why it seemed as if we missed how the drama at the restaurant began, and why the restaurant was so dark.

Can you even imagine the season without this scene?
