Pauline Quirke has reportedly signed a new deal with ITV soap Emmerdale.
The former Birds of a Feather star joined the show in August as Hazel Rhodes and was only supposed to star for a few months, however she has become such a hit with viewers that bosses have asked her to stay on for at least another year.
The deal is reportedly worth £100,000 to the star
Emmerdale boss Steve November said: “Pauline has been a real asset to the show and we’re delighted she has agreed to stay. Next year is going to be dramatic for Hazel in many unexpected ways.” Pauline said: “I’ve had a great time and was really thrilled to be asked to stay on longer.”
