NBC plans Survivor/Bachelor Pad hybrid

NBC is planning to air a series next summer that combines Survivor and The Bachelor spin-off Bachelor Pad, but also sounds a little bit like I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!. The show, Love in the Wild, is produced by former Survivor executive producer Tom Shelly, who has moved on to do such shows as Dating in the Dark.

On Love in the Wild, “[10] men and 10 women looking for love will somehow pair up each week and compete in a series of physically and emotionally taxing competitions, and those who win will “get a better chance to get to know each other in luxurious surroundings,” according to Variety. New York Magazine broke news of the show last month, when the format was still being hashed out.

Here’s the worst part: It sounds like the cast members will be somewhat coddled. Production company Endemol chair David Goldberg told Variety, “This isn’t just about people hooking up. It’s almost like an adventure camp set in an exotic and remote locale. The show is meant to leave the conventional world of dating behind. Newly formed couples will battle nature by day but live well at night. We’re not starving people.”

Speaking of NBC’s plans, there wasn’t any exciting or surprising reality news in NBC’s schedule announcement yesterday, just a confirmation that the network is going to keep up with the same-old, same-old: two-hour Biggest Loser episodes and two-hour Celebrity Apprentice episodes, which begins March 6 and will follow The Marriage Ref on Sunday nights. In addition, America’s Next Great Restaurant now has a premiere date: March 16.

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella.
