Eastenders: Cast cry during filming of Ronnie’s baby’s cot death

The cast of Eastenders were reportedly moved to tears this week, when they filmed scenes in which Ronnie Mitchell discovers the body of her baby in a cot.

As part of the storyline, viewers will see newly married Ronnie fleeing to the Queen Vic with her dead baby, when she hears Kat Moon’s baby crying and swaps hers for the living child.

Ronnie has previously lost her daughter Danielle, who died in her arms after being knocked down by Janine.

A source told The Sun:

“Most of the crew have never shot anything quite so sensitive.

“Filming stopped for over an hour as people found it hard to continue without breaking down. It will certainly be very strong viewing.”
