In what was probably the most shocking elimination of the season on Dancing With The Stars on ABC, we all watched as fan favorites Brandy and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were eliminated despite their high scores. In some post elimination interviews, Brandy and Maks discuss the show and their elimination. Keep reading for more details!

Dancing With The Stars fans were sure they were going to see Brandy and Maks in the finale, but America voted otherwise. Brandy, who didn’t have much to say on the show that night, told PEOPLE after wards “It’s going to hit me tomorrow. But I gave it everything I had and I don’t have any regrets at all.” And apparently it did hit her the next morning as she tweeted “My life has truly changed from one of the most challenging experiences of my life! My confidence, strength, and passion has reawakened. I am forever grateful to God and all of you who believed when I didn’t! Thank you so much for being the best fans in the whole world.” Although many Brandy fans are upset that Bristol Palin was not the one who got the boot, Brandy has not commented her thoughts on Bristol.

Brandy’s partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy did however have something to say about Bristol Palin as he told PEOPLE magazine “Most recently, Bristol said I don’t like her. I never said it. I just want to make sure that people understand that I’m just a dancer. That’s all I am, and I don’t aspire to be a politician at all. I express my opinion when it comes to only dancing. This season, I’ve been so focused on Brandy that I really didn’t look at anybody else.” in response to Bristol Palin’s accusation. Maks also feels like he failed Brandy as he recently tweeted “WOW! What can I say? Was raised in a very ‘justice driven’ household & see no justice in Dancing With The Stars. Sorry Brandy if I failed us. You were amazing tonight and always!”

Be sure to tune in next Monday at 8 pm EST for the season eleven finale of Dancing With The Stars on ABC as the celebrities and pros take the stage for the last time with a freestyle dance in the hunt for the mirror ball trophy!

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.Using an electric mix, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high until fluffy – this will take around 2 to 3 minutes.  Mix in the grated zest of the oranges and lemons.  Beat in the vanilla, then the eggs one at a time.Reduce mixer speed to low.
