It looks like Atlanta’s Sheree Whitfield isn’t the only one in the Housewives’ franchise that’s into fashion design. Alexis Bellino of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County has just revealed her new clothing line “Alexis Couture.” What was Bellino’s inspiration for the line? When does it officially debut? Will it do better than the failed “She by Sheree”? Read on for all the details.

Alexis Bellino of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County is attempting to make a name for herself in the fashion world, and she’s doing it in a big way–by producing her own line of couture dresses.

So where did the 33-year-old OC Housewife get her inspiration for “Alexis Couture”?

“I am truly inspired by Valentino and Cavalli with Dolce and Gabbana fabrics and fit. I’ve added my own personal twist,” says Bellino in an interview with RadarOnline. “I’ve been designing my line for 1 year and I’m really excited about the results.”

Alexis is originally from Hannibal, Missouri, and has three children with her husband, Jim Bellino, whom she met in 2005. Of balancing her budding fashion career and family, Bellino says, “I have always said that being a great wife and mother comes first, but Jim is super supportive of me working.”

The “Alexis Couture” dress line is set to be released in January of 2011, the same month that the much anticipated 6th season of The Real Housewives of the OC will premiere on Bravo. Bellino also plans to throw a launch party for the line in Beverly Hills on December 2.

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella. Courtesy of Apollinas. Ingredients: Directions Heat oven to 350°F. Butter two 8?, 9? or 10? round cake pans, line the bottoms with greaseproof paper, butter again, and dust with flour, tapping out the excess. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.Using an electric mix, beat the butter and sugar on medium-high until fluffy – this will take around 2 to 3 minutes.  Mix in the grated zest of the oranges and lemons.  Beat in the vanilla, then the eggs one at a time.Reduce mixer speed to low.
