Mark Burnett, the creator of some of the most successful reality shows in television history, is getting ready to wow us again. Burnett is set to produce a new show for ABC! What’s it about? We’ve got all the details! Keep reading for the latest info!

ABC has announced that they have ordered episodes of Expedition Impossible, a new reality show produced by mega-producer Mark Burnett, who is also responsible for such reality TV hits as Survivor, The Apprentice, and Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?, to name a few.

Expedition Impossible, which ABC is calling “the next evolution in high adventure and human drama,” will be similar to The Amazing Race, but will feature teams of three solving problems and competing in a 10-leg global race.

Unlike the CBS reality show, Expedition will have a more rugged format, with the contestants racing across deserts, over mountains, and through rivers.

ABC reality co-chiefs, John Saade and Vicki Dummer, are ecstatic about the new show, saying, “We think the ABC audience will respond to this incredibly fun show, which is equal parts extreme competition, teamwork and strategy, featuring unique landscapes and different cultures.”

Producer Mark Burnett is also thrilled about the show and working with ABC, adding, “I love high adventure television, and I am so excited to be working with ABC in bringing an epic Indiana Jones-style experience to the viewers.”

Expedition Impossible will be Burnett’s first adventure race show in almost ten years. We can’t wait to see the show’s premiere! Stay tuned for all of the details as they come!
