Heidi and Spencer's latest attention grab: admit they divorced for publicity, lost $10 million

Former The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are so desperate for attention that they’ve confessed to faking their divorce and losing $10 million, and today, they’ve released footage of a police raid on their house.

Radar has that footage, which shows “cops drew their guns on a post-plastic surgery Heidi Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt” after they “responded to 911 call reporting a suspected ‘kidnapping’ when Montag — who had just gone under the knife 10 times in one day — was seen rushing into her home while hiding her surgically enhanced face with a scarf.”

Earlier, Life & Style reported (in an exclusive story) that “now owe $2 million in taxes, are considering filing for bankruptcy and are homeless” after spending “$10 million — on renting a posh $35,000 per month Malibu pad, $3 million on Heidi’s panned music career including buying songs for $40,000 a piece, renting studios and paying producers plus hundreds of thousands on Heidi’s surgeries and aftercare, six cars, healing crystals and private jets.”

In a comment that’d be mature if it wasn’t so obvious this is just his latest attempt to get attention (and dammit, it’s working), Spencer said, “We were immature, worrying too much about the famous part instead of the actual business part. In hindsight, we shouldn’t have spent any of our money. We should have been low-key and saved.”

Also in the magazine, he revealed that “The divorce was real — just the idea behind it was different than most people’s. Divorcing was the only way to keep Heidi’s career going because everyone hated me so much. Look at Sandra Bullock — her divorce from Jesse James was the best thing to happen to her image.”

Spencer claims this hasn’t worked out so well for him: “I can’t make regular money because I was playing such an unlikeable character on TV to keep my checks coming. Who wants to hire the jerk from The Hills?”

Wait, getting paid by magazines to confess things isn’t considered a job?

How to make: A fashionable cake

The Stella McCartney ‘fruit print’ has become one of the most iconic patterns for the season, with high street brands such as Zara following suit. However, the look can be fairly difficult to pull off unless you’re a stick thin model, so we’ve found a way to get your fashion fix and your hunger fix for a fraction of the cost of a real Stella.
