Giant-like comedian, Greg Davies, is to be given his own sitcom after impressing everyone so much as his role as headmaster, Mr Gilbert, in the hit comedy, The Inbetweeners . Davies, who has featured in many comedy panel shows since the show ended, has written and starred in a pilot for Channel 4 called Man Down . Davies entertained the masses in The Inbetweeners as Mr Gilbert, the miserable, sarcastic and unreasonable headmaster to the shows main characters. In this new show, produced py Avalon, Davies takes on the role of another teacher, called Dan, who hates his job. Channel 4’s comedy commission ing editor, Nerys Evans, said: “Greg is in more ways than one a giant of British comedy. He has managed to write a joyfully funny, laugh-out-loud script.
